About
I got into this business 25 years ago to make a difference in the lives of my clients. Personally, the greatest joy I get in life is feeling that something I did helped someone else feel peace, happiness or purpose. I love applying this within the financial realm because money can be so overwhelming and is often the root of many arguments and unhappiness. Many families are broken up due to poor financial decisions.
The value of family was instilled in me from my parents and drives much of my decisions today. I always look forward to dinner hour – a very important tradition in which my wife, myself and our teenage daughter can connect. Those are cherished times but would not be possible with the weight of financial challenges on our shoulders. I know that if I can help someone get greater clarity and confidence in their financial life, they can spend their time and energy on those things that bring them the greatest happiness.
Academically I graduated from UC Berkeley in 1989 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in English. In my free time I like to spend time outdoors with my wife, daughter and our three dogs; skiing, snowboarding and hiking.
